How is this all structured?
Our programmes facilitate our students to achieve the ICF PCC or Level 2 certification. For this, you need 125 training hours, split between online and offline. Here’s how that works:
Live Learning Requirements (fully virtual):
Our Intensive 3-day bootcamp will get you ready and confident to start coaching clients right away. This comprehensive bootcamp is specially designed to align with the ICF coaching education standards, ensuring that your training is current and professional. You will learn in small groups with other like-minded individuals and plenty of one-to-one time with a master trainer, who will instil in you the ICF competencies essential for effective coaching.
Afterwards, you will have 2 x 90 minute follow-up sessions, scheduled to suit your availability and that of your cohort. These are easy to fit in around other commitments, and they serve to consolidate your learning, in line with the ICF's emphasis on continuous development.
You will also get 12 hours of ICF Mentor Coaching, spread over 3 months to enhance your style and further polish your personal technique. This aspect of the programme aligns with the requirements for an executive coaching certification programme, ensuring that the mentorship you receive is of the highest standard. That amounts to only an hour or so per week, so it won’t get in the way of your other commitments too much.
Additionally, we have numerous live web classes for you to choose from with plenty of availability to suit busy schedules and time zones. These help you to earn your 21.5 hours of required live web classes as quickly or as gradually as your availability allows. Given recent ICF changes, these live web classes are a crucial component of your coaching development.
*If you choose the self-study or essentials programme, you’ll be participating in live webinars to make up the hours you will not receive from the bootcamp and follow up sessions.
So, that’s 62.5 hours of live learning – we’ve made it flexible and manageable, so most of it can be completed at your own pace and on your own terms. This approach is conducive to the busy schedules of professionals looking to fulfil the ICF coaching education requirements without compromising their ongoing commitments.
Offline learning requirements
The offline learning requirement is also really easy to fit around your other commitments. In your own time and at a pace that suits you, gradually watch 37.5 hrs of our pre-recorded web classes. We have a huge library of classes for you to choose from and you can collect these hours whenever you have an hour to spare. No rush.
Just collect 25 hours of self-study time, which you can earn from books, podcasts, and videos of your choice, as long as they are relevant to coaching. We also have an exclusive members area with a large library of resources that you can use for this. This is entirely guided by you, so you can earn these hours through bed-time reading alone if you like. It’s that easy.
So, that’s 62.5 hours of offline learning. We keep it simple and flexible so you can get through it on your own terms and in your own time.
The great thing about the structure of our programme is that you’re free to choose the topics that interest you - no need to keep going over what you already know. And, with a rich and growing library of materials, you can continue to learn and develop. This is especially useful as you can use our student portal to meet your ICF Certification Renewal Requirements.
Coach Experience hours and Free Coach Matching Service
On top of this, you also need 500 coach experience hours to meet the Level 2 requirements. If you’re aiming to elevate your coaching skills, our mentor coaching course is designed to support you every step of the way. As soon as you sign up, you can start tracking your hours—whether you’re already coaching or not. For those new to the field, our coach matching service simplifies the process. Thanks to our large international student body, you can match with other students to practice and earn your coaching hours, which is a key component of your mentor coaching course experience.
