How quickly can you complete ICF accreditation?

To ensure your coaching methods align with the highest standards, familiarise yourself with the ICF Core Competencies, which form the foundation of effective coaching practices.

Let's face it - when starting a new education programme, we all want to envision exactly how we're going to get there and how quickly we can put it into practice. Here's your timeline:

  • We only require you to book 3 days off for the bootcamp - after which, you can confidently coach clients straight away. Or, you will replace these with our live online webinars when you choose ‘Essentials’ or ‘Self-Study’ options. These are run throughout the week at various times to suit everyone.

  • Your other 36.5 online learning hours can be structured around your schedule. These consist of 2 x 90 min follow up sessions with your cohort (bootcamp students only, self-study cohorts substitute with live webinars), 12 mentor coaching hours and 21.5 hours of live web classes run by the Center for Executive Coaching.

  • You then have 62.5 hours of offline learning - you can complete these in your own time. There are 25 hours of self study with flexibility to choose your own learning materials or use the resources in our student portal. This is topped off with 37.5 hours of archived web classes you can watch in your own time.

  • Finally, there are 100 coach experience hours for the ACC qualification and 500 coach experience hours for the PCC option. If you already have clients to coach - fantastic, you can earn money while studying. If not, we will match you with another student so you can barter and both meet your coach experience requirements.

  • And that's it - as you can see, most of these hours can be easily structured around your existing commitments. You can create an estimate and calculate how long it'll take you to achieve your accreditation.

After exploring the steps toward ICF accreditation in our blog, you might wonder which coaching program is right for you. Delve deeper into our diverse range of Programme Options to find the perfect match for your coaching journey. Each program is designed to cater to different schedules and learning preferences, ensuring you find a path that aligns with your personal and professional goals.

In addition to the straightforward, comprehensive structure of our programme, we are approved by the ICF to give live mentor feedback on your coaching. This means you won’t be left to organise your coaching session recordings and you won’t need to send them off to the ICF. There’s no need to wait up to 3 months for your feedback - this is all done in-house, allowing you to progress quickly through your studies.

Curious about the real impact of our coaching programs? Visit our Meet Our Students page to hear directly from those who've walked this path. Their stories offer valuable insights and inspiration for your ICF accreditation journey, showcasing the transformative power of coaching. Learning from their experiences could provide you with the motivation and clarity needed to embark on your coaching career.

We find that many of our students are able to complete their ACC/PCC qualifications within 3-6 months, but there is no rush - if you need to take longer, you can move through the accreditation at your own pace.

Expand your coaching knowledge and connect with a global network by participating in ICF Communities of Practice, where you can engage in meaningful discussions and attend webinars on a variety of coaching topics.
